Question: I have been asked to pray the sinner’s prayer. When I do, they say that I’ve been born again (saved). Is this true, am I saved and born again?
Answer: The strength and surety of Salvation stands on four pillars or posts.
The first post or pillar is the Baptism of Repentance. The second post or pillar is the Baptism in Jesus Name. The third post or pillar is the baptism in the Holy Ghost. And the fourth post or pillar is the Baptism of Fire.
Without these four pillars or baptisms there is no being saved or being born again. Man does not control the process of salvation, God does. The scriptures plainly lay out for us the process of being saved or born again. Anyone who teaches differently is teaching a false doctrine.
Peter made it plain by the Holy Ghost that prophecy of scripture is of no private interpretation but dictated by the Holy Spirit of God, 2 Peter 1:20-21. Jesus stated in Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven…”
Here, Jesus plainly states that just because a person says they know him, even If they preach and prophesy in His Name, and cast out devils and do wonderful works of God, that does not mean He knows them. All these works these men did, and still Jesus said I don’t know you, you that work SIN.
It’s not just about knowing the Lord, He must also know you.
A born-again person, has become a new creation through these baptisms.
