I heard numerous times from the religious world. How the battle has already been won and all we have to do is just accept it.
But if we look at Jesus who's sitting at the right hand of the father, why is he there? Until all his enemies be made his footstool.
And if the battle was over and won, then Paul wouldn't talk about putting on the whole armor of God. Why do we need this armor? To fight against the enemy. All this shows that the battle isn't over.
So the battle is still out there. The battle is still going on.
The battle won’t be won until sin is conquered in every brother and sister in Christ Jesus.
Those who belong to the family of God, who are led by the Spirit of God, are in battle until the old nature is destroyed in them as it was in Jesus.
So put on the whole armor of God and pick up your cross daily and follow his perfect example.
Destroy that enemy (flesh, the old fallen nature) and hang him on your cross.
